If you are attempting to color your hair yourself, then make sure you get the right color. You will add the color which is usually a powder to the creme developer which contains peroxide. The peroxide is what changes the color of the hair. The creme developer will work well for a beginner.

Creme developer does less damage to your hair then liquid developer because it is more conditioning. There really is no 100% safe way to color your hair. Coloring your hair is drying and damaging so if you do color your hair you'll want to make sure that you use ae lot of conditioning products.
