Pregnant dogs should never be given any type of medication that your vet hasn't prescibed. If you do, there is a chance that it may go directly to the puppies.

The antibiotic passes the placental barrier but no side effects has been noted in fetuses so I'd worry more about the infection if the vet who saw her prescribed the clavamox knowing she was pregnant. With infection the litter might be lost already no way to know yet and the important thing may be keeping her well enough to breed again.

It depends on what the problem is. Clavamox is a broad spectrum canine antibiotic. Antibiotics are usually fine to give during pregnancy but caution should be used. A relatively low dose for an ear infection is fine but be careful if your treating a bladder or kidney infection as the dose is much higher.

No! There are is not a large array of medication that is safe for a pregnant dog. You need to take your dog to a vet to make sure she is ok and get her on proper medicaiton.

Usually it is not a good idea to give this to your dog as it can cross the placenta barrier. If the dog has an infection that is not a good thing either, so you should talk to your vet.

I wouldn't without talking to the vet first you might want to ask them if it is ok to give it to the dog even when it isn't in pup.

Generally no, it isn't a good idea to give pregnant dogs Clavamox. Antibiotics cross the placental barrier and can affect the puppies development.
