Brown algae is not necessarily good for an aquarium. You don't need to get any. It is less of a hassle over the long-term compared to green algae.

Brown algae is considered a nuisance in aquariums and should not be added on purpose. It is a sign that a problem exists with your water chemistry or tank setup and is most common in new tanks.

Brown algae is neither good nor bad for an aquarium. It is just something that naturally occuring in most aquatic systems at some point or another. You will notice no affects on the water quality due to the algae but it is definitely not pretty. Good luck with your aquarium!

brown algae is normal in a fish tank. I would not purposly introduce it as it will grow as the aqarium ages. After awhile you will need to get a cleaner crew for your fish tank (snails etc. ) so that you dont have to clean the aquarium every single day.
