A waiter can be a good career if it is something you like and you can get a job at a top notch restaurant. The better, more expensive restaurants are good to work for because they value good service and the tips are larger because the food is more expensive.

While there is no shame in being a waiter it is not really a career unless this is what you really aspire to. Most people do this to pay their way through college or for quick money. Besides it is hard on the feet after awhile.

Being a waiter can be a good career, though it can be a very difficult way to earn money. Wait staff typically earn $2. 15 an hour and rely largely on tips to make the bulk of their salary. If you are able to be attentive, confident, jovial, and are willing to handle difficult people you can probably do it well.

If you really like this job, you can try to become a senior waiter, but one thing you should know is that it has low social status.

What is considered a good career choice is up to you. If you like working with the public, making a lower salary, and serving food, being a waiter may be a good choice for you. You may also want to look at opportunity to get promoted and make more money, what shift work is required, benefits offered, etc.
