Is a small snake always a baby?

Or are there some species that are really small?

The world's smallest snake is four inches long, so one would guess the answer is "no." There are small snakes in nature, and they are adult snakes, not babies.

No, not all small snakes are babies. Many species stay small their entire lives. For example worm snakes only grow to be about 13 in. long as an adult.
