I am a PhD student who studies thyroid hormone and have read about every scholarly journal on the subject of hypothyroidism in existence. I have never come across any reputable study that has shown a benefit of a raw diet, nor can I imagine a mechanism for how it could.

Unless you are ingesting foods that contain high quantities of iodine or other minerals that specifically have an affect on your Thyroid gland, this diet will not harm you.

It's not a good idea to start a raw diet if you have hypothyroidism. Hypothyroidism people are low in zinc and this mineral is difficult in a raw diet.
