Is 5w30 oil good for dodge intrepid?

I need to know if 5w30 oil is for dodge intrepid.

read your owners manual for the best answer, otherwise I'd say yes. i believe 5w30 is the preferred weight and that 10w30 can be used in warmer climates. i know many newer dodges specify 5w20, but i believe the intrepid name was dropped prior to that.

5w30 oil is just fine for your car. This oil is 5w when cold to reach the lifters when cold and 30w when hot to stand up to the heat.

The recommended oil for the 2. 7 liter engine should be 5W-30 however the 3. 5 liter version is suggested to have a thicker 10w-30. The thinner oil will work in the other but it may be too thin at higher temperatures.

5w30 is perfect for a dodge intrepid unless you are in extremely hot temperatures (routinely over 110 F). If so you may consider 10w30.
