Question by  marieanton (1)

I'm having much too frequent periods- why?

I started a period at the very end of December, the third week in January, and now I'm starting again on the 31st of January. This time I'm having a lot of abdominal pain that spirals around to my back.

It could be a number of things. Though this is serious, you should see your doctor because this could lead to anemia.

While it is unlikely that there is any real medical problem you should get it checked out by your Gynecologist. You could have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome which is a condition caused by a metabolic imbalance.

There is no certain reason you would be having your periods that frequent. You best bet would be to go talk to your doctor. They may recommend you taking birth control pills to help regulate when you have your period.

This could be a warning of a disease such as cancer or it could just simply be cysts. It is unknown what it is and you need to go to a doctor to find out what is wrong for sure.

I have a feeling that you have either PCOS or endometriosis, or a another disease that causes cysts. You need to go to a OB/GYN and have that checked out.
