I can generally carry my own backpack. If there was a girl I liked, I might try talking to her. That would be a good start. See if you have anything in common, books you like, movies, hobbies, music. asking stupid questions on the internet, that sort of thing is a good start.

No, carrying the backpack is too complicated. It has to be pulled down with an effort. I would only do that on long journeys.
