If you pour acetates through galvanized steel watering cans, will they create static electricity?

Yes; Generally when substances of different-compositions are in contact with each-other, the friction knocks some-electrons loose from one of the two-substances. In small-quantities (of liquid), not much static-electricity is generated; and if they are being poured by hand, then the person holding the can dissipates the charge (unless insulated).

Pouring salty liquids through treated metals will not create static electricity. Rather, it is commonly known that static electricity is created when two fabrics are rubbed together and then contact is made with metal. Salt alone will not do the trick!
