An Autoimmune disorder will not show in a blood count. The diagnose of the disorder relies on the symptoms, findings from an examination and the results of laboratory tests.

Certain autoimmune disorders can be detected and diagnosed with a blood count. These disorders include thyroid dysfunction, lupus, multiple sclerosis and rheumatoid arthritis.

Generally, yes. Your white blood cell count would likely be elevated if inflammation is present in the body. If the disorder causes bleeding, the red count may be affected too.

Autoimmune disorders can affect your blood count. The most common finding is anemia (low red blood cell count) but you can also have low white blood cells or platelets.

Yes it will. The blood count or CBC test is measuring the number of red and white cells as well as the size of red blood cells.

Not usually with just a regular cbc. Most autoimmune disorders have very specific blood tests for correct diagnosis and sometimes a tissue biopsy is required.

An ANA blood test can show different autoimmune diseases. It is a test that looks for antibodies in the blood which is what autoimmune is about.

Usually if that is the case yes it will show up in a blood test. You can ask your doctor if you are concerned about it.

not definitively, but what a CBC will show though is that you have increased number of your white blood cells, which are the cells rejecting your own body.

An autoimmune disorder may show up in a blood count, but there are so many different autoimmune disorders and some are more difficult to detect. You doctor will probably perform an ESR and a CRP test which can indicate any inflammation in your body.
