Depends on following parameters (not exhaustive list): - return policy of service provider you bought phone from - warranty/guarantee period and policy of phone/battery

It depends upon whether your phone is covered under manufacturer's warranty or not. If its under warranty the manufacturer should try to repair or if cannot be repaired , they should replace it. please contact the dealer or at the company service centre.
