If I am on SSDI, do I have to pay alimony?

The court will decide if you have to pay alimony/maintenance to your spouse. A review of income and assets will be included, as well as the reasons for the request.

Normally if you are on disability you won't pay alimony. YOu could be ordered to pay child support thought, but it would be based on your disability check.

If you are court ordered to pay alimony, then you are legally bound and your person receiving is legally required to receive it. You still have to pay it, and may have the amount reduced or changed depending upon your situation, but you are legally bound to oblige the order.
