If a nursing dog is eating grass and vomiting, should I let her nurse her pups?

Grass won't hurt the puppies, but the mother may have an underlying health problem. Some dogs like the taste of grass. Others eat it to help with digestive problems.

Because she is obviously not well, taking care of puppies until she gets better is certainly a good idea. Be sure to visit a vet.

If you have any concerns at all about the health of a nursing dog, you should take her to a vet immediately to get her checked out. Puppies are healthiest when they nurse from their mom, so it's best to get the mom healthy because then the puppies have the best chance.

The puppies need her milk, let them nurse. They are immune to her sickness passing through the milk. But take the mom to your vet.

Many dogs get sick when they eat too much grass. Grass is hard on little tummies! That being said, it's not contagous. There's no reason to stop her from nursing.

I think that this would be something to be concerned about. Afterall if she is sick than there is a good chance her puppies will be sick. A quick vet checkup would be best.
