I want to participate in file sharing. I have Windows XP, and I want to share notebook to notebook. How do I do it?

First off you both need to be connected to the same router or connected directly to each other through a cable. Next just right click on a folder you want to share go to properties, then click on the sharing tab. The check the share this folder box. You both also need to be on the same work group.

Just go to the Start menu, then Settings, then Network Connections, then under Network Tasks, select 'Set up a home network. ' Windows XP will take you through the rest of the steps at that point.

First of all they both need to be in the same work group. Right click on the folder you want to share and choose the sharing tab.
