I took Prednisone for 9 days in a descending dose for a herniated disk. Am I in the clear?

They didn't do surgery since the pain is gone.

Prednisone is not pain medication; it relieves inflammation. It is always given in decreasing doses over a period of several days. I'm not sure what you mean by "in the clear." Is the pain gone? If so, that's good.

Herniated spine discs are mostly benign and you are probably in the clear, be sure to get a checkup if the pain returns because they are known to flare up.

It is a good thing when a conservative treatment eliminates the pain. If a course of Prednisone gets rid of the pain, you are probably in the clear. If you were given instructions to follow up in a certain amount of time, do that. If the pain comes back, go back to the doctor.
