It is very common to have bleeding for some time after a c-section. Typicaly you will bleed for six to eight weeks.

This depends on how heavy the bleeding is since some bleeding is normal. If you are soaking through a towel you need to seek immediate medical attention.

I believe this is totally normal. I have had two c-sections and this happened to me after each. Especially after my last one. My cramps were the most painful I have had yet and the bleeding was very heavy. It started to go back to normal after a few months.
