With an automatic transmission you may have to depress the brake in order to shift into gear. Also some vehicle are equipped with a shift lock that needs to be unlocked with the use of the key. If these methods don't work there may exist a larger issue and you may want it to be checked out professionally.

95 cad sts that sticks in park(floor shift). If you can't move the shift lever with the key off the shaft in your shift lever is not being pushed down far enough. Remove the Handel (Small horseshoe staple backside of Handle). Push down rod, shift OK. Replace Handle(Ebay or salvage yard.  add a comment

The vehicle may have rolled back or forth after being placed in park. this causes the wieght off the vehicle to sit on the shift linkage not allowing it to move. Try having someone rock the vehicle slightluy while you attempt to shift out of park. be carefull not to run them over. And remember always use your parking brake.

Check your shifter cable to see if maybe it's broken or if its a floor shifter it could just be stuck. Otherwise it could be your transmission because caddi's are famous for transmissions going out.
