Check the level of the power steering fluid using the dipstick under the hood. Usually the lack of fluid with indicate that the car's steering is very difficult to move. This will usually indicate a leak in the reservoir or some gasket. The flawed part needs to be replaced.

Either diagnose the issue yourself or have a mechanic do it. Then replace or repair the problem yourself. Without knowing more I can say what needs to be done. It could be anything from low fluid to a bad pump.

Don't try fix your Corvette as it is an expensive vehicle. Unless it is an older Corvette I personally would take it to the Chevy dealership or a trusted auto mechanic and let them deal with it. If you don't have the money or the Corvette is an older model buy a Corvette book to help you fix it yourself.

Problem involves electronic steering column lock, which prevents steering wheels from being turned when ignition is off. A safeguard cuts off the fuel to engine if column doesnot unlock when vehicle is started. But an electronic control malfunctions, the fuel cut-off would not work and the vehicle could be driven.

Depends on what the problem is. The first thing I would check would be the amount of power steering fluid you have. What year is your corvette? Does your car have a rack and pinion? What are the symptoms?
