First-are you sure you don't have insurance? Many universities provide student insurance plans and require their students to sign up. Next, look for free or low-cost local health clinics in your community, including clinics offered by local medical colleges. Also, it's always okay to share your financial concerns with your dentist BEFORE having work completed. Many dentists can lower prices.

In order to get inexpensive dental care without insurance, I would look for a dental school. The students are practicing on you, but they are supervised by an experienced dentist.

One option is to find out the clinic hours for a local dental school. The students need to gain a certain amount of experience, so they are happy to do most procedures for a reduced rate.

Try looking into a local dental college, or possible a dentist that offers payment options, possibly with a down payment, and then monthly payments.
