Call your doc, at the very least you could be experiencing Braxton-Hicks contractions (practice contractions) that should NOT be painful, just a mild tightening of the uterus. If you're experiencing pain, there could be a problem your doctor would need to see you for. 21wks too early for preterm birth.

It is common to have stabbing pains low in the abdomen, which are probably due to uterine ligaments stretching. Still though, call your doctor to put your mind at ease.

Not necessarily. The pain you might be experiencing could be just gas passing through your digestive tract. It's not uncommon to feel slight pain or pressure while pregnant in your lower abdomen. If you feel that the pain is too much, definitely see your OBGYN.

Yes, this is your baby we are talking about. You should definately seek advice as soon as possible. It could be something serious but if its not reassurance is good.
