How would you draw a basset hound caricature?

The most obviously identifiable feature of a basset hound would be the ears. I've seen some that hang so low the dog steps on them. The long baying sound is rather distinctive as well. Long, low and an easy tempermant should do it.

The ears and the jowels that is usually the part of those dogs that draws peoples attention the only other thing about them you will usually hear people comment on are the sad eyes they usually have but think they are adorable from head to tail the old right down to the new babies that trip over their ears.
