To change from 220v to 110v you will need to reidentify one of your hot legs to a grounded or neutral wire and land that wire on the neutral bar. A 110v circuit requires one hot, one grounded or neutral, and one grounding conductor. Replace your breaker with a single pole and you are done.

This task can be easy or hard depending on the existing wiring. The easiest way if you're re-wiring an existing receptacle would be to make one (1) of the hots a neutral at the electrical panel and identify it as such with white electrical tape at both ends. At this point you can install a 110v receptacle.

Its simple to wire from 220v to 110v. To low down that voltage it is necessary to use the step down transformers used for cutting down the voltage.
