Use an iron and go over the dents while applying steam. Before the area is completely dry use a hair dryer and small comb to pluck carpet back into shape.

We can put some ice cubes in the indents of carpets and then using a hairdryer should melt the ice cube and dry the carpet out. Whilst rubbing at the spot with a brush (a stiff plastic bristles like a nailbrush). It surely works nicely & well, daft as it sounds.

The best way to get rid of those indents is to most likely check the floor to make sure its flat. there could be a hole under.

If the carpet has indentations from heavy furniture, you can use a damp cloth and a steam iron to try to raise the nap. Simply put a folded washcloth over the carpeting (to protect it from being burned) and iron repeatedly. You may need to use your fingers to pull the hot fibers up, and repeat until indent is gone.
