Instead of the usual turning the ball from verticle to horizontal (as is the case in an ubde center snap) the center will toss the ball vertically between his legs to the quarterback. The most effective way of ensuring a proper toss, the center should snap the ball as fast as possible ending with his wrist against his pelvic area.

The quarterback instead of going right underneath the center and accepting the ball (snap), stands about two feet behind the center, and the center snaps the ball in the air to the quarterback, instead of simply handing it off to him. This usually happens if the quarterback prefers it, or you are running a specific play.

The quarterback should stand approximately 3-4 feet behind the center, and the center should snap the ball and hit the QB in between the numbers with the football.
