You should take your car into a paint shop. This is the only way to get the job done right. They will be able to re clear-coat your car.

Take a trip out to your local auto parts store. Get what's called a "clay bar". If you have no detailing equipment you will want to get some microfiber cloths. Spend a good day with your clay bar applying to your car. Following directions on the packaging.

Use some fine grip sand paper, 1000 grit will do and sand lightly the areas where the clear coat is damaged. Use an automotive spray clear coat can and apply it very lightly over the damaged area. It's best to have a auto body repair shop do this instead.

Trust me, take it to a shop and have it done. All you're going to do is spend money on paint and equipment, do a horrible job, and either drive an ugly car or take it to a shop to have it repaired anyway. Painting is harder than it looks.

Well typically the only thing a normal person can easily do to their cars paint is buff out light surface scratches. If the paint is more damaged than this it will probably have to be repainted. An average person can perform a acceptable paint job as long as they posses the proper knowledge and tool. Do some research online.

There is unfortunately no good way of repairing clear coat on cars. Your only real option is to either replace it, or strip off the rest of the existing clear coat so your car doesn't look odd. I would suggest replacing only the ruined parts, as long as the new kind matches your existing clear coat.

Have it done by a professional body shop. Don't try to paint your car yourself, it won't come out right and it'll cost more money in the long run.

Well, to be honest, you should not do this yourself as it requires a professional or automated service to do this for you. Take your car to the garage and have them replace a clear coat of paint your car. This can be done for around 500 dollars depending on where you go.

Paint repair requires a lot of research if you want to not cause more damage then what you already have. Look online or buy a painting manual for detailed instructions.

Start by doing a lot of research. Buy book on how to do automotive painting. Then follow the instruction on removing and respraying the clear-coat.
