If your post is set in dirt all you have to do is straighten the post up and then tamp some dirt or gravel in around the post. If the post is set in concrete you may need to use something fine enough to go in around the post and concrete if that's where it's loose.

The best way is to take the loose post out,if it is wood treat the part going into the ground with a tar coating, next buy some of that dry posthole cement which you can get at your local hardware store. Read the product directions exactly ,place pole ,place the cement and presto.

The post has probably rotted, so dig up the old post un-tack from the panels. Get some small rocks and put them in the hole where the new post will be inserted, mix up a small amount of cement, get someone to hold the post steady pour the cement around the post. Steady the post till cement is firm.

The best way to fix a loose fence post is not to repair it but to redo it totally. Thus it is necessary to dig it up lay out the cement just like a new post and reposition it back into the ground just like a new post going into the ground for the first time..
