How old should you be to start shaving your legs?

Answer by  kayers (281)

This is a very personal decision, and in an ideal world a mother or close female relative can help to better answer this question. In general, though, most girls begin to shave at the onset of puberty, which is between the ages of 8 and 16. I began shaving when I got my first period at age 12.

There is no certain age when an individual should begin removing hair the legs, rather if the amount of hair results in a poor self image start when you want.

It all depends on what age you hit puberty at. Some people experience hair growth earlier than others and as a result must start shaving their legs at an earlier age.

Shaving legs is not advisible because once you start shaving, the hair will grow more thicker and thicker and as a result, you will be compelled to shave regularly. Using some good hair remover will be more advisible. Do it by the advise of a good butician or a cosmetologist.
