How often should you have to replace the brake rotors on a Windstar?

I have a 2001 Ford Windstar.

Brake rotors do not need to be replaced that often if they are not damaged. Most rotors that need to be replaced have been damaged because the vehicle brakes were neglected when they got bad. Rotors that haven't been damaged can usually last you over a decade, if not longer.

Brake rotors should be checked every time pads are replaced on the vehicle. They can be turned at a brake shop as long as they are not worn past the minimum disc thickness (usually stamped on the rotor itself). If they are severely warped (car shakes or pulls while braking) or if they are cracked they should be replaced.

There is no set mileage as to replacement. You need to inspect your brakes and see if there is pad life left. If the "squeeker" Tabs are rubbing the rotor than you are due for a brake job. If you are getting any grinding or squeeking noises you are probably due for brakes.

Rotor wear is different for every car so there is no exact replacement interval. Occasionally when you service the brakes you check them for grooves and make sure they are thicker then the minimum width specified by the manufacturer. If they are grooved, warped, or too thin replace them.
