Seven months old babies can cope with a range of feeding choices. Speaking as a man the best choice is one that does not stress the mother and her support group. For many this will be nursing as the baby is hungry, for others this will mean nursing breaks regularly at a predicable schedule. If mom's not happy, you understand.

You should nurse your baby as often as she is hungry. This will ensure that you have a good supply and you are meeting the demand.

Depending on what your child feeds with Breast milk or Formula will determine the times of feeding. Breast milk weighs less so your child will need to be fed often. I would guess every 4-5 hours also depending if you have started rice cereal. With a bottle feed baby the time frame can be longer because formula is much heavier.

Nursing a baby will get less frequent as solid food is introduced. A 7 month old will generally be started on at least some solid food. This affects how often they need nourishment from nursing although the bonding issues is still there.
