In general a repair like this isn't easy for someone considers themselves a "novice". If you consider yourself this, you should consult your user manual or call your local mechanic.

Well there are no set service intervals for very type of 350. Typically you just check all your filters and things every few thousand miles. The oil and oil filter should be changed every 3000 miles. Belts and plugs should be checked also and replaced as needed.

Like most car engines, you should change the oil and filter every 3,000 miles or so, change the spark plugs every 50,000 miles, the air filter every 6,000 miles, and the coolant every other year. That's about it.

It's a fairly typical engine; change the oil and oil filter every 3,000 miles, air filter every 6,000 miles, spark plugs every 50,000 miles, coolant every year, and replace the belt, alternator and battery as they wear out.

You should do maintenance to your motor every three thousand miles. The basics are changing the oil and filter and topping off all your other fluids. You can also get Lucas Fuel Injecto Cleaner and dump it in your gas tank when you fill up because it helps a lot with maintenance that way also.
