How much water do I add to a powdered grout?

Powdered grout is kind of like pancake mix. You want to put an approximate amount of grout into a seperate container(an old 5 gallon paint container works perfect) and slowly add water while mixing, until you get a smooth consistency that is slightly watery. If it starts to get too dry, just add water a little at a time.

It should say on the bag. You want a consistency like cake batter. Toothpaste consistency is too thick, pancake batter is too runny. Let it stand 15 minutes before using.

Add water gradually to powdered grout. It should be about the consistency of cake frosting when ready. If too much water is added, then just add more powder.

There's no universal answer to this question, other than read the reccommendations on the user manual. The producers always write it on the bags.
