How much money do doctors make?

Doctors who work in the the public health system make significantly less than doctors who work in private practice. However in both instances doctors make at least $100,000 gross each financial year. Surgeons makes significantly more money than medical doctors.

Primary care docs make between 125k-250k. Surgeons generally get from 150k to 500k. Specialists tend to earn more money, and private physicians tend to earn more as well.

General practitioners, also considered to be family doctors, make about 100,000 dollars a year. Specialists, such as OBGYN and cardiologists, can make 140,000. Surgeons can make over 200,000.

In the United States doctors have one of the most high salaries among other occupations. The average salary per year is around 180.000 $ which is perfectly justified because of the high education needs, long career path and stressful work.

They make lots of money. It really depends on if they are a specialist or not, those types make more money than general doctors.
