A Geo tranny should be good for four years at least. Unless it is driven by any teenage male. Then the number of months the Geo will last can be calculated by dividing his age by his age ( one month)This number will be cut in half if the the car has a manual transmission.

The transmission should last between 75,000 to 100,000 miles if regularly serviced. You should have the fluid checked and changed after 50,000 miles.
