How many infants were injured before they organized Hip Baby?

Is a dislocation really that common?

Many parents were concerned about injuries before the manufacturers decided to replace and fix the Hip baby. Most retailers will quickly pull a product if ONE child is injured.

Hip dislocation has been a common problem during childbirth throughout human history. Hip dysplasia, a birth defect in the formation of the hip, occurs in about 1/2% of newborns, and this can cause hip dislocation. Hip dislocation after a child is born is fairly rare.

Well I think it just took a few to organize that term. Maybe around a couple 100 or so from what I think. You can check wikipedia for more accurate percentages.
