There are more than 50 broadcasting satellites are in space. the countries such as Germany, India and North America are being top int this field of technology. ASTRA 1A, D-MAC ,D2-MAC, SES ASTRA are some of the broadcasting satellites launched by Europe. Germany is likely to be the leader in the free to air technology.

There have been roughly 4200 launches of satellites by various countries around the world. Theses satellites have many uses from military to space exploration. Broadcast satellites make up about 55% or so of these satellites according to estimations by NASA.

There ate fourty five broadcast satellites are in space. Thirty five are in US contribution. seven contirbuted canada, Brazil having Two and Philippines launched one in the space. Broad cast satellites are used to broadcast different types of TV Channels and radio channels all over the world. This also used to different types of communications like millitary, ship,airoplanes etc.
