How long should I keep copies of my bills?

I keep copies of all of my bills.

When you are satisfied that the payment was credited to your account, you can dispose of the bill. Shred papers that show your name, address and/or account number.

It is recommended you keep your bills between 3-5 years in case you are ever audited by the IRS. After that time it is same to discard them.
