Menopause is technically just a word meaning the absence of your menstrual cycle. Menopause begins around age 50, generally, and continues for the rest of your life. The symptoms associated with early menopause (crabbiness, irritation, hot flashes, etc) usually last for 8 months to 2 years in the beginning stages of the end of the menstrual cycle.

Every woman is different, however, the typical range is between two to ten years. A woman's menopausal symptoms can begin as early as her mid-thirties and as late as her mid-fifties.

While menopause typically starts in a woman's 40s or 50s, it can take several years before its full effects take place. During this time, women may experience intermittent symptoms, such as their period stopping for several months or longer but then starting again. Once menopause begins, it lasts for the rest of the woman's life.

It can last for up to 10 years on average. However, increased stress at a younger age can induce it even if one is in their 20's. If this is the case, it can last longer. A good diet and good stress management help it to be the right duration.

It can last as long as 10 years. But every woman is different. Hot flashes are normally the biggest symptom/complaint (and longest).

That is an almost impossible question to answer. All women are different. But the normal time would be between two and ten years.

Menopause generally starts in a womans forties and can last in varying degrees for about ten years. Several factors influence the duration of menopause such as general health, if this is a normal menopause or one induced by a hysterectomy, harmone use, genetics, and other various factors. Keep in mind everyone is different and the duration will vary accordingly.

Luckily menopause doesn't effect you for the remainder of your life. The time varies from woman to woman but the typical time frame is between two to ten years.

Menopause generally begins between 45 and 55 with the onset occurring after a 12 month stretch of no periods. The length of time lasting depends on the individual.
