How long does it take to fly from London to South Africa?

I live in London and need to go to South Africa soon.

The distance is about 5600 miles (9000 km) and it takes about 11 hours to fly to Johannesburg which is in the northern part of the country. It may take a half hour more for Cape Town, since it is on the southwestern shore. It's quite a long trip to either city.

if you are flying from heathrow to johannesburg, the flight can take anywhere between 12 and a half hours to roughly 22 hours. this is based on a flight out of london soon, from february 1st to 8th. most flights have transfers as well so it may even take longer

London to Johannesburg is an 11 1/2 hours direct, London to Cape Town direct is 12 hours. South African Airways and British Airways are the most direct airlines.
