It differs for every woman. It's also affected by your eating habits, and activity level. It's not going to go away by itself.. but to shed most of the extra stuff, drink a lot of green tea with nothing in it, it boosts the metabolism and makes you pee a lot which sheds the water weight.

The main concern with us women is the bloating in the abdominal area. If you had a cesarean then the bloating may take longer to go away because this is a natural occuring element to healing after surgery. The swelling should go away after 2-5 weeks after natural childbirth.

The bloating disappears within few days after the child birth. But it is necessary to wear tight clothes or a belt near stomach so that the bloat disappears completely.

This will depend on your pre-existing abdominal muscle tone and if you are used to staying in shape it wont be long[maybe a month] before you get back to being yourself but if you dont workout regularly it may take longer[3-6months],depending on your activity levels.

My opinion is that is can take anywhere from 1 month to 1 year. Normally you will see results within a month or so. Then you can start working out.
