How long does it take for new movies to come out on DVD?

It depends on the movie and when they want to release it. Movies that do well and stay in the theaters generally take longer to be released on DVD. Movies that don't do well sometimes get released directly to DVD and skip the theaters entirely.

Different movies will come out at different times, if it was a hit it will take longer or if it is a movie based on a holiday
