A viral fever usually lasts between two and three days, but in some cases might last a week. If the fever is persistent, check for a possible bacterial infection.

Typically, a viral fever lasts about 3 - 5 days. After the third day the fever becomes lesser and you feel better. A fev4er that lasts longer needs a doctor visit.
