I am not aware that there is a time frame but it may vary based on local laws. It's a legal transaction that you make with your birth certificate. It's not required that you do.

There's no time limit for changing your name after marriage. Most women make the change right away, if they choose to do so, though it still takes several months to complete the process. But it can be done at any time.

Although the rules for changing your name after getting married vary from state to state, there is generally no time limit. If you decide to change your name, you can do it at any time after you get married. You will need a copy of your marriage certificate. It is not mandatory that you change your name at all.
