The longevity of a warrant depends on the crime committed. Each state has a statute of limitations for different crimes. Sometimes a statute never ends and neither will the warrant

If an individual is wanted by police and an outstanding warrant exists, there is no statute of limitations in Texas. Once you are wanted you are always wanted until captured. Someone can be arrested 25 or 30 years after committing a crime if their warrant was outstanding for all of those years.
