Cell phone companies always keep records the length of your contract. After your contract expires and if you do not renew then they will keep them up to 5 years.

Each cell phone provider can be different. For instance AT&T keeps them for 18 months but Verizon could be different. To be sure the easiest way to know how long their records are is to log into your online account and the records are the same there.
