If you think you have a UTI you need to go to the doctor. It will only get worse and more painful without antibiotics. It will make you weak and you can start to have blood in your urine. It is important you go to the doctor within the first couple of days.

It is very painful to have a UTI so you should not go more than a couple of days if you experience pain on urination.

That depends. Usually the pain will make you feel bad enough that you want to see a doctor. It generally takes ten days of antibiotics to get better.

Urinary tract infections are very serious and should be treated by a doctor as soon as possible. Without treatment, infections can become unmanageable and painful. Over the counter medicines are available for treatment, however, it is recommended to visit a doctor when any signs of a urinary tract infection is present.

If you mean Urinary Tract Infection, it should be treated soon because the bacteria present in urine will create problems. At one stage you will find difficult to pass urine. As per the advice of a Urologist, you culture the urine and detect the bacteria present in your urine. You need to find out the condition of prostate gland also.

It depends on if the Dr. has ever experienced a UTI. If they have, they will be very sympathetic and want to promptly get you the relief you deserve (Bactrim).
