How long can ground turkey be frozen?

Answer by  Amom (701)

Ground Turkey has little fat, so if you leave it in your freezer the meat will dry out. Also, make sure before you freeze it you wrap it well to avoid freezer burn. Don't leave any ground meat more than four months in your fridge, leave it longer and the quality and flavor of the meat begins to deteriorate.

This depends on how well stored it is. If it gets freezer burn, its no good. Wrapped in an airtight container, it should be good for up to a year.

If we assume that you have a 3 stars freezer, technically, you could keep it forever at -20C, but it would be better to cook it within 3 years.
