How likely am I to come across baby rattlesnakes in California?

Rattlesnakes are native to California however they are fairly rare, and finding baby rattlesnakes would be even more difficult. Your best bet would be to search during the Springtime as this is when they mate.

It depends on where you are at, if you are in the desert lifting rocks, then it is alot more likely then finding one in the city.
