I think that you should be more specific in your question. Overall though, I would say the older cars are a lot simpler to repair than later models, but a lot of parts can be stubborn and rusty. You should buy yourself a repair manual specific to you car and be prepared to get dirty!

This may sound counter-intuitive, but the older a vehicle is, the easier it is to repair. Now the trick is finding parts, but for anything 75 and up is good.

It will depend on what actually is wrong with it and how much knowledge you have of auto repair. Being a 1970's model does means there will be much less electronics to deal with. However you may still need some specialized information to complete a repair. I would recommend researching online as well as locating a printed repair manual.

It depends what is broken on the car. Some problems will be relatively easy and cheap to fix while others should not even be attempted by anyone who is not a mechanic.
