How hard is it to get Puerto Rico birth records?

It should be reasonably easy if born after July 1931. Send a copy of your identification card and information records. It will be harder if born before July 1931. To obtain records of birth and death from Peurto Rico call or send a request to the Department of Health in Peurto Rico: Department of Health Demographic Registry P.O. Box 11854 Fernandez Juncos Station San Juan, PR 00910 (787) 767-9120 It costs 5 dollars payable by money order.

It is not difficult, as Puerto Rico is still technically a US territory. Simply contact the territorial government, and they will direct you to the record keeping agency.
